I'm back in my homeland. So I'll also choose a photo from here for today.
This field, with this outlook, was brought to my attention by one of my followers. It is on the left side of the road when you are traveling from Pirna to Bad Schandau. So last weekend I went straight there to explore it.
I first drove around the field for a while and later hiked until I found a suitable perspective on mt. Lilienstein (left) and the Königstein Fortress (right). Then I walked into the middle of the field, following a tractor track, to get a suitable foreground. There I just had to wait for the low sun to momentarily find a gap in the clouds behind me.
If you ever plan to do this with the tractor track, you should be aware that you will then be covered from top to bottom with bright yellow pollen. So keep your eyes open when choosing clothing.
I am always very grateful for such information and tips. This exchange is one of the things I love about social networks.

Ich bin zurück in meiner Heimat. Also wähle ich für heute auch ein Foto von hier aus.
Auf dieses Feld, mit diesem Ausblick, wurde ich von einer meiner Followerinnen aufmerksam gemacht. Es befindet sich auf der linken Seite der Strasse, wenn man von Pirna nach Bad Schandau unterwegs ist. Also habe ich mich letztes Wochende gleich dort hin auf den Weg gemacht um es einmal zu erkunden.
Ich bin erst eine Weile um das Feld herum gefahren und später gewandert, bis ich einen passenden Blickwinkel auf den Lilienstein (links) und die Festung Königstein (rechts) gefunden habe. Dann bin ich noch, einer Traktor Spur folgend, mitten in das Feld gelaufen, um einen passenden Vordergrund zu erhalten. Dort musste ich dann nur noch darauf warten, dass die tief stehende Sonne hinter mit für einen Moment eine Lücke in den Wolken findet.
Falls Ihr das mit der Traktor Spur einmal plant, solltest Ihr Euch bewusst sein, dass Ihr danach von oben bis unten mit leuchtend gelbem Blütenstaub überzogen seid. Also Augen auf bei der Bekleidungswahl.

Since I've run out of Moritzburg pictures for the moment, I have a photo for you today of another impressive and even more famous building, the Cologne Cathedral.
This photo has been waiting to be published for almost exactly 5 years. Because I haven't been in this city for so long.
In contrast to the pictures of Moritzburg castle, that you have seen in the last few weeks, it is already quite late at night here and the sunset can no longer contribute to the mood in the picture.
But I think the beautiful illumination of the cathedral and the Hohenzollern Bridge also looks great.
It suddenly occurs to me that I absolutely have to come here again. Because I have photographed this motif (with an almost identical image structure) with all of my previous cameras. With the exception of my current one.

Da mir die Moritzburg Bilder für den Moment ausgegangen sind habe ich für Euch heute das Foto eines anderen beeindruckenden und noch berühmteren Bauwerks, dem Kölner Dom.
Dieses Foto wartet inzwischen seit fast genau 5 Jahren auf seine Veröffentlichung. Denn so lange war ich inzwischen nicht mehr in dieser Stadt.
Im Gegensatz zu den Bilder von Moritzburg, die Ihr in den letzten Wochen gesehen habt, ist es hier schon recht spät in der Nacht und der Sonnenuntergang kann keinen Beitrag zur Stimmung auf dem Bild mehr leisten.
Doch ich denke die schöne Illumination des Doms und der Hohenzollernbrücke macht auch so ordentlich etwas her.
Dabei fällt mir spontan ein, dass ich unbedingt noch einmal hier her muss. Denn dieses Motiv habe ich (mit fast identischem Bildaufbau) mit jeder meiner bisherigen Kameras fotografiert. Mit Ausnahmer meiner aktuellen.

Another snapshot from somewhere in the hills of Moravian Tuscany.
If you hike around here or explore the area by car, you will find motifs like this everywhere.
With the latter, the biggest challenge is always finding a place where you can safely stop and park your car. The roads here are quite narrow and winding for long stretches (i.e. confusing). I drove past some interesting motifs because I didn't manage to do so and I didn't have the time (sometimes I didn't feel like it) to walk back a kilometer or more.

Ein weitere Schnappschuß von irgendwo in den Hügeln der Mährischen Toskana.
Wenn man hier herum wandert, oder die Gegend mit dem Auto erkundet, findet man solche Motive überall.
Bei letzterem ist die größte Herausforderung immer, einen Platz zu finden, an dem man gefahrlos anhalten und sein Auto abstellen kann. Die Strassen hier sind doch über weite Strecken recht schmal und kurvenreich (also unübersichtlich). Ich bin an einigen interessanten Motiven vorbei gefahren, weil mir dies nicht gelungen ist und ich keine Zeit (manchmal auch keine Lust) hatte, erst einen Kilometer oder mehr zurück zu laufen.

When I arrived in Moravia, I was surprised at how many vineyards there are because I hadn't even mentioned this region as a growing region.
And even though the vines here are still hibernating, I had to take at least one photo of these even rows that stretch over some of the hills here.
By the way, I've been back in the seminar room for a few days now. You know what that means by now ;-).

Als ich in Mähren angekommen bin, war ich überrascht, wie viele Weinberge es hier gibt, denn ich hatte diese Region garnicht als Anbaugebiet auf meinem Zettel.
Und auch, wenn die Weinstöcke hier noch Winterschlaf halten, so musste ich doch mindestens ein Foto von diesen gleichmäßigen Reihen machen, die sich hier über einige Hügel ziehen.
Ich bin jetzt übrigens wieder ein paar Tage im Seminarraum. Ihr wisst ja inzwischen was das bedeutet ;-).

And so we end our trip to Moravian Tuscany in the Czech Republic where we started it, on the chestnut avenue.
This shot is a little further than the first, so that two beautiful trees in the foreground come into the picture where you can just see the first new green (which is more of a yellow here).
I hope I was able to convey the special beauty of this region. In my opinion, this, good prices and, last but not least, a very friendly population make Moravia a worthwhile travel destination.

Und so beenden wir unseren Auflug in die Mährische Toskana in der Tschechischen Republik dort, wo wir ihn beginnen haben, an der Kastanienallee.
Diese Aufnahme ist etwas weiter als die erste, so dass noch zwei schöne Bäume im Vordergrund mit ins Bild kommen an denen gerade das erste neue Grün zu erkennen ist (was hier eher ein Gelb ist).
Ich hoffe ich war in der Lage, die besondere Schönheit dieser Region zu vermitteln. Dies, gute Preise und nicht zuletzt eine sehr freundliche Bevölkerung, machen Mähren aus meiner Sicht zu einem lohnenswerten Reiseziel.
