The magnificent dead trees in Namibia's Deadvlei draw beautiful graphical lines against the red walls of neighbouring towering dunes. A surreal, yet mesmerizingly beautiful, combination of elements, so typical of Namibia.

I would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Festive Season, and that you may spend these days in happiness and peace, surrounded by your loved ones, filled with laughter and joy!
It looks like the reindeer made it all the way down to Namibia!: A herd of springbok antelopes, illuminated by the warm light of the setting sun, contrast against infinite alternating bands of browns and golds, ending in a red sand dune, all of it against the backdrop of distant mountains as they recede into the shade.

This image: Although the wind was screaming in my ears, it was a scene of serenity and breathtaking majesty at the rugged dramatic coast line of South Africa's Cape Point Nature Reserve. To my delight, as the sun set on the other side of the peninsula, the radiating clouds turned a beautiful pink and wonderfully complemented this scene. In the background humid ocean air turns into clouds at the coastal mountain peaks, which then are blown inland over the fynbos covered plains. I left, knowing that I had born witness to one of those breathtaking scenes that occur somewhere on this planet every day.
