........like having the pool to yourself. In fact having the whole spa to yourself. One of my gifts from Phill was a spa day. I had already booked the 2 January off work so I rang up the spa to see if they could fit us in and they did. The massages were so good - especially the Indian Head one: felt like jelly in her hands. Obviously, people are either going back to work or getting over New Year's Eve on that day, so next year we are going to do it again. Peace and quiet for a whole day - utter bliss:-)

This miniature Shetland pony was one of small herd that we saw when out in the New Forest. They had been grazing at Newbridge but something made them take off at a gallop along the road. They would trot for short while and then set off at a gallop again. We drove ahead of them so we could stop and get some shots of them running. Eventually, they came to a holt at Penn Common, where they started grazing again.

.............like not feeling the cold when you are a child. Do you remember when you were a child and you went out and played in snow and you never felt the cold? We would stay out for hours and return home with soggy wet gloves from making snowmen and wet hair from snowball fights and never think anything of it. This young boy was running along the shingle ridge at Hurst with the freezing cold wind from the sea whistling about him whereas Phill and I had turned tail and headed back to the car.
