Autumn colors and a soft flow above the falls and old mill

About two million years ago, thick masses of continental ice began to periodically accumulate in central and northeast Canada and spread southward. At least four of these ice sheets, many hundreds or thousands of feet thick, eventually reached northwestern Pennsylvania and modified the landscape and stream patterns. As the ice front that moved southeastward into the area about 140,000 years ago, it dammed northwest-flowing Slippery Rock-Muddy Creek.

Took a walk up the Slippery Rock Creek on the opposite side of the North Country Trail. Got shots from five vantage points from the Harris Bridge up to across the Creek from where Hell's Run flows into the Rock. I like this one the best and threw it up last. I liked the gloomy sky in this long exposure and the green on some of the rocks as well as the fallen leaves.

This image of this blooming Ironweed in the lower right foreground is highlighted by the surrounding season foliage and the beautiful background changed tree leave colors. I love the mixture of color and bokeh. The background tree line was around forty feet back from the week line.
