This is an image of the Slippery Rock Creek between the Old Mill and Covered Bridge and Eckerd Bridge in McConnell's Mill State Park. This was probably one of the last few days of any color along the Creek. Watch out for ticks. Believe me.

Decided to work on one of the images I took in late June around New Moon time. I posted one of the hots of Jimmy sitting on a chare on the dock. I wanted to put one up of the lake and the stars. The lights in the background are fishing boats that were in a month long Striper Bass Tournament. The lit sky is the light from Pittsburgh picked up in the twenty second exposure. The dock in the image is the one I usually put my boat in. It is Watts Marina on Watts Bay on the North Shore. Think I'm kind of fortunate to get some images or the Milky Way in such a high light pollution zone as western Pennsylvania. Pretty difficult to achieve versus northcentral PA or the Monongahela National Forrest area of WV which are the two darkest sky areas east of the Mississippi. So, at lease I got it here.

This image is at the same gorge as the last few images. I actually have a few for different perspectives of the same falls that I will work on soon as I can. Always loved this place, just hadn't been there for a while. I like all that this spot has to offer as content to these compositions. A little of this and a little of that which blend to make this a very interesting image.

This Autumn season's falling leaves are blanketing the gorge floor and are always swept clear by the constant flow of water. That constant flow of thousands of years since the last Ice Age started its meltdown in this area about 11,700 years ago. It eventually created these gorges in our area that are continually eroding. The process creates a beautifully textured landscape. Gotta love nature huh?

My buddy and I went to an old spot we went to years ago to see what we could find. I walked out on this ledge I had taken shots before and decided to get some shots of him on the ledge up from me. This one came out okay. Both spots were kind of difficult to get to and were work to get to but cool once you make it there.
