The Toad River flows by a backwater lake under stormy skies. Rivers and lakes everywhere in northern British Columbia. With frequent stormy weather. Moody and magnificent.

Enjoy a wonderful Wednesday!

A wonderful way to begin a new day.

"Lake Crescent is a deep lake located in Olympic National Park. At an official maximum depth of 624 feet (190 m) it is officially the second deepest lake in Washington (after Lake Chelan).

Lake Crescent is known for its brilliant blue waters and exceptional clarity, caused by low levels of nitrogen in the water which inhibits the growth of algae." Wikipedia

Happy Friday!

Mount Robson (12,972 feet, 3,954 m) is the most prominent mountain in North America's Rocky Mountain range; it is also the highest point in the Canadian Rockies.

As a peak-chaser (glad they move slowly) Mt. Robson was high on my list when returning from Alaska this summer. But like most tall peaks it is usually shrouded in clouds. This was my first view of it. Fortunately it cleared fairly well enough to get the shot in the comments.

This was by far the best shot I got of a mountain goat....

Hope your holiday week is going well!

Thanks for taking a look!
