Continuing my series from Rainier's Sunrise area. Many of these images are from my archives, from long ago, with older cameras, poorer processing skills but better legs and lungs.

I took this shot from the Sunrise Rim Trail, shortly after leaving the Sunrise Visitor Center.

Enjoy a wonderful weekend!

Looking at Mt. Rainier from this nearby peak on a clear windy morning.

Liked that lenticular cloud breaking apart on the top.

Happy Friday!

Looking south at Mt. Adams 50 miles away as seen from Dege Peak. A few of the peaks on the right are of Governor's Ridge.

Was a great hike to Dege in the dark.

Enjoy your Thursday!

I struggle daily with which image to share. I've generally liked to mix it up to keep things varied and interesting. However, I think I'll start sharing more often a series of images from favorite places I've visited, simplifying the task of what's next. As I get older I strive more to follow the KISS philosophy: Keep It Simple Stupid.

So I'll continue on with a series of my states premier peak that I started with my last post of Mt. Rainier over Myrtle falls.

This shot was taken along the Dege Peak trail as I returned to the Sunrise Visitor Center, seen in the distance, after watching the first light of this fine day hit the mountain earlier. A grand morning it was.

Enjoy a wonderful Wednesday!

Happy Earth Day!

“We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.”-Native American Proverb

A beautiful new day begins with first light caressing Mt. Rainier with Myrtle Falls below.

Thanks for any and all efforts you support and provide to address this vital challenge. For our future. As well for the wildlife, the shrinking ecosystems (Glacier Park, Rainier, Canadian Rockies, etc) and our only home.
