Charmaine Neville is the daughter of Charles Neville. Her band at the festival included two longstanding members, Amasa Miller and Detroit Brooks. The backing singers included her aunt, Athelgra Neville Gabriel, part of the current version of the Dixie Cups. This was the first time I have photographed Charmaine Neville, though I also saw her in 2007 in Lafeyette Square and in 2005 at Ronnie Scott's in London.
