30th July 2015 at Walpole Park (Main Stage), London W5.

Ealing Jazz Festival.

Country: Britain. Style: Jazz - Vocal / Swing.

Lineup: Ray Gelato (v/tenor sax), Olly Wilby (tenor sax/alto sax), George Hogg [dep] (trumpet), Andy Rogers (trombone), Gunther Kurmayr (p), Oli Hayhurst (b), Matt Home [dep] (d).

Ray Keith Irwin ("Ray Gelato") formed the Giants of Jive in 1988 after being part of the Chevalier Brothera (his band was renamed the Giants in 1995). At this Festival they were without two regular members of the band: Danny Marsden and Seb De Krom with Hogg and Home stepping in. In the past I've taken photos of Gelato with Claire Martin, Wilby with Five Go Jiving, Hayhurst with five different bands, and Home with two (including the Blue Note Project on the same stage as the Giants earlier in the evening).
