Bill Frisell (born in Baltimore and brought up near Denver) has been releasing albums since the 1980s. This gig featured tracks from his latest “Guitar in the Space Age!” and included reworkings of 1950s and 60s favourites like “Telstar”, “Rumble”, “Tired of Waiting” and “Turn! Turn! Turn!”. I had seen Frisell six times before (four as leader or co-leader) but this was the first time I had taken photos of him. All three of the musicians with him here were part of at least one of those bands.
