I just got back from a weekend in Asheville. It was a lot of fun, but unfortunately, the weather wasn't the greatest, so my photo opportunities were limited.

This pic was taken atop some parking deck downtown. We had just got done exploring the town, and I decided to take the car up to the top of the parking deck instead of exit. When I got up there, there were three groups of locals with the same idea, and when you are a tourist and find yourself doing something the locals do, that is usually a good thing.

On Saturday, we decided to take I-26 from Asheville to Flag Pond, TN. The weather was iffy, so hiking was out of the question, but driving to scenic overlooks seemed like a safe bet, and it was.

I really wish the tree in the bottom corner wasn't there so I could get more of the road. I'm all for trees, but man, this guy was really in my way......

Even though I've lived in North Carolina all my life, I had never been to the Biltmore House in Asheville until last Friday -- it was amazing! While the above ground floors were beautiful and decorated to the max, the basement was plain and in some parts, depressing. This bowling alley was probably the least decorated room on the tour, but I liked it's simplicity, and I was going to take a picture of it, handheld at ISO 4000 in all of it's glory!

I'm not use to big towns and cities, so I'll take any chance I can get to take photos of a cityscape. We had just parked our car on a middle level in a parking garage, and before we went down to the street, I had to get some shots off.
