I really like using Canon FD lenses on my Samsung cameras, and now I've ventured into using Pentax K-mount lenses. My first Pentax lens, the SMC Pentax-M 50mm F/1.7, arrived on Wednesday, and I've really liked the results so far. If any of yall have suggestions of other Pk-mount lens to get in the $20-$80 range, please let me know. I have the Pentax FA 35-80mm on my wish list, but that's it.

Haw River Rocks

The Haw River is a beautiful river, but there are some sections that are flat out disgusting. This is one of those sections.

I liked this area because of the rocks reflecting on the water, and how the rocks were spaced apart from each other. However, the rocks are covered in sludge and pollen, and traces of pollen is floating on top of the water. Also, recent heavy rains and what I believe to be a growing beaver problem has caused small dams to form with river debris, making portions of the river to form pools of standing still water like this area here. So, I turned the photo into black and white to disguise all of the imperfections :-)

I was experimenting tonight with manipulating the shutter speed by boosting the exposure value in aperture priority mode. I usually don't mess with the EV, but tonight I wanted to see if I could overexpose a shot, and then bring it back down to look better in post processing. Well, while processing this shot, I ended up boosting the exposure value some more, so I'm not quite sure what I accomplished today, lol.
