My beautiful wife, Paige, took a break from all of the mosquitoes attacking her to enjoy the Deep River. The Rocky River actually joins the Deep River at this point, but the new Spring foliage mostly blocks this view to the left.

There used to be an old cable bridge crossing this portion of the Rocky River. It was mainly used by kids to get to and from school. While the bridge is gone, some of the cable is still around.

It had been about 25 years since I last went to the Eno River. On that last trip as a preadolescence, I was canoeing with a guide. Our guide ate some poison ivy, saying he was immune to it by eating the itchy plant daily. Visiting today brought back that memory of the poison ivy man.
