The view from the high church-tower (St. Petri church) in the center of the old city. June 1975.

The both churches in the view are "Kath.Propstei Kirche Herz-Jesu" and the Cathedral of Lübeck (with two towers).

St. Petri Church (Petrikirche) in Lübeck is a Gothic building. It is a five aisled church which today no longer holds any services. Instead, you can see many concerts held here throughout the year. The tall tower can also be ascended by way of an elevator for some magnificent views over Lübeck. The building was badly damaged in bombing raids of 1942 and required significant reconstruction to bring it back to its original form.
