Nobody knows for certain how a set of boxing gloves belonging to Jack Dempsey ended up hanging from a strand of picture wire in the Mohawk Tavern. Dust now gathers on them as they slowly twirl in the ceiling fan breeze inside the institution of unpretentious dining.
