For over 10 years I made, repaired and imported straight razors. For this I used this old anvil which was a present from Thiers Issard, an old straight razor manufacturer in France. It must be quite old and they had polished the surface so I could use it.
Now the rust comes back and I thought I make this photo to honor its long service.
On the left side you see some pins and rivets for attaching the scales. On the other side lays an old straight razor from Wade & Butchers (Sheffield) with polished horn scales.
For this photo I used a bit of window light and the 15 Watt LED from my studio strobe from left and slightly above.
Thanks for watching and reading and enjoy.
P.S. Best to watch on a good tablet or bigger screen. The phone cannot really scope with the darks.
