The sign for Cowperthwaits Furniture Store [center right] is probably on their building at 2212 - 2224 E. 121st St at 3rd Ave. in Harlem. The photo is taken from a station on the 3rd Ave. El. If this is the 125th St. Station then the photo dates from after 1878.

The 'Apache' was a Boeing B-307 Stratoliner delivered to TWA in 1940. Boeing number#2000 was given CAA number NC 19908. With the USA entry into the War, the Army Air Force acquired her as USAF C-75 #42-88626.
“NC-19908, TWA's ``Apache,'' was flying as XW-PGR for Air Laos when it crashed Feb. 27, 1971, near Luang Prabang, Laos. No source listed the number aboard or casualties.”
