Our friends Lidio and Kenia came over in the afternoon. As we were hanging around, Kenia pointed out that the empty lot behind our house was smoking. Apparently some dumbass was trying to burn weeds on a very hot, dry, and windy day, and the fire got out of control. Lidio went back there, and I passed a hose to him and a few other people who had come, and after 20 minutes or so they were able to put it out. Pretty scary, but fortunately no one was hurt.

Our Belgian friends invited us and another family. Between everyone, there were 4 kids, and I was impressed that they just did about a half-hour of laps around the table.
