This photograph is a perfect example of photographer Chase Jarvis’ philosophy of “The best camera is the one that’s with you.”
The 2 3/10-mile-long Coronado Bay Bridge connects the peninsula of Coronado with downtown San Diego. At its highest point on the bridge (210 feet above San Diego Bay) you can have a birds-eye view spanning from Point Loma to downtown San Diego to Mexico!
I was walking in Coronado on a multi-use trail that meandered under the bridge when I spotted this composition. I didn’t have my Canon full frame DSLR camera, so I reached for my handy dandy Apple iPhone 4S and composed this photograph.
Great images are around us all the time; we just need to be prepared to make them!
