This big male Black Bear was really enjoying himself in the big pond in the 30 degree Celsius heat. The sunlight landing on him and the water was just perfect!

A blast from the past! I'm going through my Flickr gallery getting images for our Christmas Calendar and I ran across this old gem from 2013.... and had to share it again. LOL!

I have been looking, UNSUCCESSFULLY, for almost 2 years for a Red Fox den in or around Ottawa, especially at this time of year when the new babies have just been born and we'll be seeing them soon.

Is anyone willing to share with me a location of a fox den they are aware of? Please be assured that as with all wildlife locations that people share with me in confidence, I give you my word that I will not share this fox den location with anyone else.

This little youngster was simply fascinated by my presence and what I was doing with my big lens and tripod. This was taken when I first saw them playing on the crest of the ditch at the side of the road. Shortly after this shot they scurred back down into the ditch to their culvert den behind the fence.

I love his little dark brown socks!
