Die beiden vorherigen Bilder meiner Irland-Reise zeigten die Küste in der Gegend des sog. Elephant Rock. Eine markante Küstenlinie in der Nähe von Ballintoy in Nordirland. Nun zeige ich den namensgebenden Felsen selbst. Auch hier habe ich eine Langzeitbelichtung angefertigt und die Farben volständig entfernt um die Besonderheit dieses Felsens zu inszenieren. Das Meer war relativ aufgewühlt. Die Gischt erscheint als feiner Nebel zwischen den Felsen.

The previous two pictures from my trip to Ireland showed the coast in the area of ​​the so-called Elephant Rock. A distinctive coastline near Ballintoy in Northern Ireland. Now I show the rock itself that gives it its name. Here too, I took a long exposure and completely removed the colors in order to showcase the special nature of this rock. The sea was relatively turbulent. The spray appears as a fine mist between the rocks.

Während ich die Langzeitbelichtung der Küstenlinie angefertigt habe (flic.kr/p/2pFwktb), hat Marcus Danz diesen Spot gescoutet. Die untergehende Sonne scheint durch ein Loch im Felsen. Leider war dieser Augenblick sehr kurz: Unmittelbar nach dieser Aufnahme verschwand die Sonne hinter den Wolken.

While I was taking the long exposure of the coastline (flic.kr/p/2pFwktb), Marcus Danz scouted this spot. The setting sun is shining through a hole in the rock. Unfortunately, this moment was very short: immediately after this shot, the sun disappeared behind the clouds.
