On the second day of our tour of Ireland we explored the coast near Elephant Rock for a while. A really interesting landscape, as the coast, rugged by wind and weather, offers many interesting perspectives. Here I took a long exposure of about three minutes while I waited for the sunset.

Wernigerode in the Harz Mountains
At the end of my little autumn series from the Harz, I present to you a photo that I took from Agnesberg on the evening of the first day. It is a timeblend with three different situations:
1. The sun disappears shortly before setting behind the low clouds (middle sky), the evening light falls on the autumn-leafed trees (middle front).
2. A storm front is approaching over the Brocken - the highest mountain in the Harz (sky on the left).
3. The castle lighting is switched on at dusk.
I'm a little proud of this picture because when the storm front came in the other photographers disappeared. There was a threat of heavy rain and even thunderstorms. Now alone on the mountain, I packed my camera and the rest of my equipment in the falling darkness and was willing to endure the rain because I really wanted the illuminated castle in this picture.
My courage was rewarded because shortly after this photo the front cleared up and I was able to take the last photo of the illuminated castle in a dry and relaxed manner and walk comfortably into the valley in the darkness.
