Mother Nature’s Landscape Art. An lot of people spend a lot of time (myself included) creating various forms of visual art, but do we even approach the level of the landscape art in the world around us? I think not. Not even close. At best we can only create a copy or representation of what we see in person. I just hope to give others an idea of what it’s like if they cannot visit for themselves. Mother Nature’s landscape art has taken eons to create and comes in an amazing variety of forms, sizes, and colors. I love the endlessly bizarre shapes that erosion has created, and well as the subtle bands of color imbedded in the rocks. To think that each of these bands represents tens or hundreds of thousands of years is hard to even comprehend. We humans are late-comers to a long story, but we arrive when there is much to appreciate and enjoy. Let’s do our part to preserve this art for those yet to come. ___________________________________ Stacked image focus blended. Foreground: stacked, 35mm, f/4.5, ISO 10,000, 30 sec., Sky: stacked, 35mm, 10 sec, ISO 6400, 10 sec. Low Level Lightning (LLL) was used. Camera WB 4200K, LED color temperature 4900K. This combination was used to create a neutral light color to render the landscape color as true to nature as possible.
