Another natural marvel along Alaska's Glenn Highway. IMHO only Alberta's Icefield Parkway can top this stunning drive.

"Matanuska Glacier is a valley glacier in the US state of Alaska.
At 27 miles (43 km) long by 4 miles (6.4 km) wide, it is the largest glacier accessible by car in the United States. Its terminus feeds the Matanuska River. It lies near the Glenn Highway about 100 miles (160 km) north-east of Anchorage."

The spectacular view of the Alaska range from Alaska's state park taken shortly after sunrise.

The Chulitna river, a tributary of the Susitna river, flows below these impressive peaks.

Mt. Foraker and Hunter are to the left of The Great One. The mountains leading to them are incredible as well. Just another Alaska jaw-dropper scene.

This might be a bit dark. If so, please let me know. Was a cool gray morning.

Have a most wonderful Wednesday!

This iconic pyramidal peak rises almost a mile (1600 meters) above Lower Waterfowl Lake (re: Peakfinder.com). Howse Peak to it's left.

Just another wonder on Alberta's Icefields Parkway.

Thanks for taking a look. Always appreciated!

Have an enjoyable Sunday!
