On the way to the Shiretoko National Park in north-eastern Hokkaido, Japan, we stopped at the Oshinkoshin Waterfall, located at the Sea of Okhotsk coast. Drift ice slowly passes along. The ice originates from the Amur River in Russia, and then drifts through the Sea of Okhotsk to reach Hokkaido typically in mid January to early February before disappearing again around mid March to mid April. I took this shot of the drift ice at low tide just where the creek of the Oshinkoshin Waterfall flows into the ocean. Rocks are covered in thin cracked ice sheets from the creek.

I processed a balanced, a paintery, and a realistic HDR photo from three RAW exposures, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.
