Windmühlen, Lassithi-Hochebene, Kreta, 2023
Die Lassithi-Hochebene im östlichen Teil Kretas gehört zu den fruchtbarsten Regionen der Insel. Am nördlichen Bergpass stehen diese Windmühlen aus der venezianischen Zeit. Die insgesamt 24 Mühlen haben unterschiedliche Erhaltungsstände. Einige sind schon sehr verfallen, bei anderen können der Innenraum und die Leinensegel noch besichtigt werden.

The Lassithi plateau in the eastern part of Crete is one of the most fertile regions on the island. These windmills from the Venetian era are located on the northern mountain pass. The 24 mills are in different states of preservation. Some are already very dilapidated, while the interior and canvas sails of others can be viewed.

Kapetaniana, Kreta, 2023
Kapetaniana ist ein Bergdorf mit nur ca. 80 Einwohnern im Asterousia-Gebirge auf Kreta. Das Dorf liegt in der Nähe des Berges Kofinas auf 800 m Höhe. Viele Häuser und Wege sind liebevoll restauriert. Etwas die Hälfte der Häuser gehören zu einem fantastischen Hotel.

Kapetaniana is a mountain village with only about 80 inhabitants in the Asterousia Mountains on Crete. The village is located near Mount Kofinas at an altitude of 800 meters. Many of the houses and paths have been lovingly restored. About half of the houses belong to a fantastic hotel.

Glocke, Kapetaniana, Kreta, 2023
Nahe dem Dorf Kapetaniana führt eine Schotterstraße hinauf zum Kofinas, dem höchsten Berg dieser Region. Auf halbem Weg befindet sich eine kleine Kirche. Der "Glockenturm" steht außerhalb und ist Teil der Ummauerung.

Near the village of Kapetaniana, a gravel road leads up to Kofinas, the highest mountain in this region. There is a small church halfway up. The "bell tower" stands outside and is part of the wall.

Kritis ist ein kleines Dorf in den Bergen westlich von Agios Nikolaos. Hier gibt es ein belebtes Zentrum und eine schöne Einkaufszone mit kleinen Geschäften.
