Nope... I'm not in Chicago any more. Though I still have lots of Chicago photos to post. I just arrived in St. Louis yesterday and did some exploring. It turns out there's this great big arch here! This is looking east at the rising moon through the arch.

My first morning in Arizona, I woke up super early. I was still on New Jersey time, so I left the hotel around 4:30 AM to head out to the mountains and catch the sunrise. It is only by pure luck that I happened to look up at this faintly glowing object in the sky and think, 'Is that the moon???' I had absolutely no idea that we were supposed to have an eclipse, but it was the best Lunar eclipse I've ever seen. Unfortunantly I left most of my equiptment in NJ, I didn't have my biggest lens, so, this was as close as I could get it.

Is it sunrise? Sunset? No... It's streetlights, looking across a lake, on a foggy night, in Bay Head.

I've been wanting to work on this one for the longest time. It was challenging trying to even out the lighting. I shot this about three months ago when I passed through Redding California to meet with my friend Brian (chaybert). This is Redding's Sundial footbridge. It's this crazy, bizarre footbridge that from the side, looks like a giant sundial. The bottom is glass, and at night there are lights that shine up through the bottom of the bridge. It was a fast moving sky, so I did a long exposure to blur the clouds. I feel like my life is finally complete, now that I have seen Redding.

It's that time of the month again. Time when the moon is just right for getting nice star photos. I went back out to the Peralta Trail late last night and shot this.
The Saguaros seem to be blooming early this year. They usually don't start blooming until mid to late May.
This was shot with my 35mm f1.4 lens. F wide open at 1.4.
Two shots blended for increased DOF.
