Architect S. David Underwood, Millard Sheets & Associates designed the Modernist style house for John and Etta Lee Flaherty in 1953. The 3-bedroom, 2-bath home in 1842 sq. ft. is currently (April 2022) listed for sale for $1,395,000 and described in part as " elegant, minimalist, mid-century modern home in the historic, Crescenta Highlands is ready for its next owner. Striking a dramatic pose with the beautiful San Gabriel mountains as a backdrop, the home is sited on a graceful downslope 10,000 SF lot that plateaus and becomes a secluded, private, flat enclave. The home was clearly designed to reflect the topography of the area with its wing-like roof line that mimics the mountain range beyond and a rock roof that pays homage to the hilly terrain".

Architect Eric Lloyd Wright designed the Modernist style Wystrach-Adams House in 1992. The 5-bedroom, 5-bath home in 4554 sq. ft. is currently (April 2022) listed for sale for $2,895,000 and described in part as " a magical combination of surface, structure & transparency comes to the forefront of this incredibly rare, avant-garde natural compound in the lush hills of La Crescenta. While the curved roofline & exterior play on light Deconstructivism, the interior seamlessly weaves the surroundings into the home with organic materials, natural light and flow. A breathtaking sweeping entry comprised of curved aggregate concrete, copper-accented balustrade and slanted skylights creates a complex, emotional realization of the experience of Wright's uncommon design".
