Architect William G. Chandler designed the Mediterranean style house for his wife Jessie and himself in 1929. Mr. Chandler was a prominent Coos Bay (Oregon) architect designing many prominent buildings including the Coos Bay Elks Lodge #1160 as well as the Chandler Hotel and the Hub Building, both in the National Register of Historic Places.
