The Texas State Capitol was designed by architect Elijah E. Myers and is the fourth building to house the Texas Legislature and the office of the governor of Texas. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places during 1970 and recognized as a National Historic Landmark during 1986. The building is built of limestone with a pink granite exterior. Located at Congress Avenue and 11th Street in Austin, Texas.
