Architect Isaac Rapp, creator of the "Santa Fe style" designed the Chaves County Courthouse in a Beaux Arts style in 1911. The courthouse is the center of government for Chaves County, New Mexico. The courthouse was built after citizens of Roswell learned that New Mexico would become a state in the following year. The courthouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. Located in the 400 block of Main Street, Roswell, New Mexico.
