The architectural firm Palmer & Krisel A.I.A. designed the contemporary home as part of the "Living Conditioned" planned housing development. Each of the homes in the development featured acoustical planning (sound-proofed) to reduce noise and light-conditioned for maximum light with minimum glare and shadows. The project offered five different floor plans with a choice of 17 exterior styles, with prices starting at $24,750.00.

The Living-Conditioned Homes are located northeast of the intersection of Devonshire Street and Reseda Boulevard in the Northridge neighborhood of Los Angeles, California.
