Michael Locke / 51,313 items
The Modernist style home where Architect J. Frank Fitzgibbons lived with his wife Irma until his death in 2005 was a redesign of an existing house originally built in 1951. A curving entry with glass block detailing and a bit of pastel color add dimension and interest.

Fitzgibbons, who died young at the age of 64 was a long time board member of the Architectural Foundation of Los Angeles and also served on the board of the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA). Educated at the University of Michigan, Fitzgibbons arrived in Los Angeles in 1978, and after working with architects Marcel Breuer and Richard Meier, established his own practice in 1985, specializing in custom home design. His home in Los Feliz is located at 4822 Glencairn Road.
