Not really this guys just yawning
No animal in North America and Europe has been persecuted more than this guy tales and myth as a cold blooded rabid killer the fairy tales sure as hell don’t help either the big bad wolf nothing can be further from the truth this animal is a family and social animal loyal to its pack extremely intelligent soul who hunts only for food for the pack with a brain size 30% + bigger then a dog The wolf is so needed in nature thinning sick and weak animals from the herd the only real control of the bolder coyote Yellowstone national park is a great example of that where they where overrun with coyote before the wolf reintroduction now reducing them by 80% there was no new aspen growth in 30 / 40 year from overgrazing after the wolf the elk stayed out of open marshes and closer to woodland giving the new growth a chance to grow tall the stream had trout in them frogs and a complete ecosystem returned because the streams had shade
* Most people agree there is no recorded incident of a healthy wolf attacking a human
* Wolves are remarkably intelligent, with a brain size 30%+ larger than most dogs
* Wolves are family oriented and have strict rules (alpha dog, etc.). There’s even a role for the jokester in the pack, to make sure that tensions don’t run too high (particularly during feeding)
* Wolves kill for food. Period. If they feel threatened they’ll protect themselves, but they’re not interested in provoking fights with anyone
* Either way, this particular theory is a bit unfair. Wolves actually don’t have a tendency to go after livestock. It happens, sure, but not regularly. In fact, wolves have a knack for living among people, and will search for their own space off in the wilderness, so as not to impose on a human’s “space.”
* Still, there is a reason why wolves might flock to livestock, and we only have ourselves to blame. The lack of wilderness (thus, animals) out there is staggering. The wolf’s habitat is getting smaller. 10 out of 10 times wolves would prefer to be far off in the distance, nowhere near humans. But that’s becoming increasingly harder as we keep expanding our neighborhoods and reaches. With lack of space working against them, it’s only natural for wolves to start hunting livestock – it’s the only animals nearby.
Does this mean you should go out and pet your local wolf? Heck no, besides, good luck getting near one. Remember, they fear us probably more than we fear them. But it does mean that the wolf gets a bad reputation as being some evil killer, when in reality it’s one of the most intelligent and astounding creatures in our midst – one whose habitat is slipping away.
I have been lucky enough to see many in the wild growing up in northern Ontario I have been face to face 30 feet walked over a hill and meeting at the top seen one just this November probably my favorite animal always an aww and mesmerizing to see one like seeing your first lynx too the ghosts of the forest
