In 2018, I was invincible. I could go where I wanted, when I wanted, photograph anybody, interview anybody, I felt like the king of my domain.

Kiliii on instagram, incredible National Geographic photographer, he focuses on Arctic Indigenous communities, fantastic stuff, the kind of work I wasn't seeing from anyone else.
Perfect person to interview for The Photographic Journal. And because I was feeling so good, I flew up to Seattle to photograph him myself.
We of course used the more serious photos for the interview, but I've always dug this one, his work is serious and heavy with meaning, but he's a very light-hearted guy! We had a great time on the shoot, and as that's what I remember, this becomes the photograph I most associate with that day.
