The transgressive appeals to me.

Figure I've put enough photo-distance between this shot and the first one I posted from this shoot.

This here was the original idea, just have Melanie running through traffic. And boy did I. I think she did at least 20 sprints down various streets. At first I was worried about traffic, but I quickly realized there wasn't enough traffic. We'd wait a bit, then dash out into the street when just the right crush of cars came our way.

Now that I'm writing it down, remembering...makes me wanna do it again. Not so easy though, see, you gotta find the right model, someone fearless, who enjoys breaking laws and...well, running. A lot.

It's appealing to me, the transgressive nature of shots like this, the adventure of minor, very minor, law-breaking. Or at least bending. Trick is finding a concept that scratches that itch that is also visually striking. No point hopping a fence if it's only going to result in dull photos.

Maybe I can craft that into a t-shirt: Why Jump the Fence if the Photos'll Suck?
