Ellie Beaton and Gillie O'Flaherty are from Rothienorman, Aberdeenshire and Ullapool, Ross and Cromarty respectively. They are both students ar the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow. I saw them twice at the festival (at the Woodlands Hotel and at Manor Pavilion) and their sets contained nearly all the same songs (e.g. a Bothy Ballad or two, a song learnt from Sheila Stewart, a setting of a Violet Jacob poem).
