Ali Levack is from Maryburgh (near Dingwall) in Ross-shire. He was been based in Glasgow since moving there to study piping at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. The weekend after I saw him at the Festival Club he won the 2020 Young Traditional Musician of the Year competition, after being a finalist in 2018. I have photographed him before at this final and elsewhere, nearly all with Mischa Macpherson (
www.flickr.com/photos/kmlivemusic/tags/alilevack,-alileva...). I missed taking a photo here of Éadaoin Ní Mhaicín who only joined the band for the last tune. I have taken photos before of all the other musicians with other lineups (to view click on their names in my tags).
