James Talley was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and brought up there and in Washington state and New Mexico. He moved to Nashville in 1968 working as a songwriter, and then released a series of critically acclaimed albums in the 1970s. He now divides his time between Nashville and New Mexico. This was his first visit to the UK. Mainly as a holiday with this gig as an extra. He brought along the Blues guitarist Todd Sharpville who he has met over here.
