O.K. folks, if you want a little practice, have a lot of fun, and not cost you a dime, you need to join this group. If you are familiar with Jenna Whidby (Whidbychick's Photostream), she has started this workshop with weekly assignments. If you have never visited her photostream...do so. Every single photo comes with its own lengthy story that will keep you mesmerized. (Warning: if you do not have a sense of humor, especially when aimed at one's self, you will never understand). This is a chance to hone our skills with no strings attached! Come on...take a chance and enjoy!

I was asked about the story behind this photo. Saturday, when I was "out back" (please see previous posting for the explanation of this southernism), looking for something to photograph among my dead and dying flowers, I found this bug hanging tightly to the underneath of leaf. (And you can tell the leaf is not in the best of health...like I said...the flowers were dying). I thought it (I don't know if it is a he or she) would make a nice shot, even though it didn't smile for me like the grasshopper did.
