On a New Brighton Photographic Club weekend trip to the McKenzie Country (based in Twizel) for the weekend in mid-winter (shortest day) - June 2008. We had hoar frost around Omarama and Twizel for several days, and a great sunrise from up the Lindis Pass. This shot was taken about 9:30am as we returned from Lindis Pass, but about 10 minutes before getting back to the fog and frost.

The now demolished Pleasant Point Yacht Club (beside the South New Brighton Bridge) reflected in the waters of the Avon-Heathcote Estuary (the Avon River terminates at the bridge just a few metres north of here I am led to believe) in 2002. Building demolished in mid-2011 as result of earthquake damage (land dropped about 1.5m to put building into water at each high tide).
