20231130_1644_R62-150 Fiji Airways A350-941 DQ-FAI with FJ451
Owing to major house renovations I haven't been out with the camera much in the past two months. Today was first time in 25 days I went out with a camera and it was to the airport to shoot the first arrival of a Fiji Airways A350 to Christchurch. Normally FJ451 and FJ450 (the return flight to Nadi, Fiji) are operated by 727-800 or 737 MAX 8 aircraft with occaisionally an A330. DQ-FAI (Island of Viti Levu) was the first A350 delivered to Fiji Airways a couple of years ago. Sister plane DQ-FAJ operated the Nadi-Auckland-Nadi flight as well so there were two Fiji A350s in the country at the same time.

Another quiet day photo wise but I did record this C-17 Globemaster III coming over eastern Christchurch. While common over our summer months they are usually absent over the winter. This one is here to operate a couple of winter supply flights to Anctartica (McMurdo), supplying fresh fruit and vegetable, other food and needed supplies and return with refuse and possibly anyone needed evacuating from the ice.
