For "The Teleidoscope's" Week #2 theme: Music

Music is such a broad theme, it can reveal itself in so many images, so many emotions and routes that it was difficult to settle on just one idea but I'm happy with what I came up with :) I'm so impressed and inspired by all the submission into The Teleidoscope so far, I feel quite lucky to be involed with such a talented group of artists.

It's still strange for me not to take a photo a day, even working on this photo felt weird since I worked on it over the course of 3 days, I'm still in the mode of "photograph/process/post/sleep/repeat". I think that I will most likely do another 365 but I'm still giving myself some time before jumping in again!

The Teleidoscope: Starvation

Starved of warmth.

After a quick search through the dictionary I found that there is an alternate definition of the word "Starve". While it largely applies to one suffering from lack of nutrients, it can also mean "to suffer or die from cold". I really wanted to try something different for this theme, to step away from the obvious images of food (or lack thereof). I felt that this definition would go quite perfectly with the amazing amount of snow that has appeared in the last few days.

To say I was cold during this is an understatement, what you don't see is that I'm not wearing a shirt underneath the blanket and after standing knee deep in snow for 30 minutes without a shirt on, I was most certainly about to starve.

A little different than what I had in mind, but it's fun to just play around and come up with something different. I found my "coldplay" jacket in the bottom of my closet yesterday and I knew that it was time to wear it in another shot :)

My entry into The Teleidoscopes Week 11 Theme: Obsession.

I think it's safe to say that midway through my third 365 project I'm slightly obsessed with photography and chances are if you're here on Flickr, you are too!

I made all these cameras last night out of a cardboard box while watching Top Chef, a child way to spend a Friday night but it suited me just fine :)

For The Teleidoscope's Week 12 theme: Danger Ahead!

Danger was the key word while taking this shot! It's been wamer the last few days and then today it froze and started snowing which created this lovely skating rink type situation. I must have slipped and fallen about 6 times on the way to take this, and I had plans to go for a small hike to a different spot but decided that I should probably call it a day before I broke a bone (or my camera!)

I wish you could see them in this shot, there were about 9 deer munching on some of the grass in the distance, occasionally they would look up at me as I jumped off of a rather icy boulder.
