For The Teleidoscope's Theme: Oxygen

This theme had me thinking a lot this week, about all the different ways you can interpret Oxygen. It's everywhere but it's not something that we really see or think much about. I thought about trees and plants and their ability to create Oxygen, I thought about how the human body uses it to keep itself alive and how it transports it throughout all the areas that need it. I thought about those deep breaths that I take on the tops of mountains or after a run when my lungs feel clean and healthy and this image came to my mind.

My entry into The Teleidoscope's Theme: Rainbow

I was feeling rather lazy today and in being so, I didn't get a chance to go to the spot I had planned to go to so I came up with this idea on the fly while I listened to some great music and sipping fresh lemonade.

Sending a multitude of bright colours to those in the world who might need it.

My entry for The Teleidoscope's Week #19: Bones

I had originally planned on doing something around fossils/dinosaurs but my brain seemed to be stumped on how to create anything that I was happy with so I pulled out the paints and this happened. There are some alternate shots that I took that actually freak me out a bit, I might end up posting them later on. I tried to draw both hands on but since I'm left handed I could only manage to draw on my right hand, the other one looks...not so good...

Hope you're having a good week so far.

This is my entry for The Teleidoscope's theme of Light and Dark.

It was kind of easy for me to think in terms of light and dark over the last week, once the sun dips behind the mountains in Nevada, it is replaced not by darkness but by even more light, lights of every colour and size and movement. It was certainly a sensory overload.

I'm slowly trying to arrange my Las Vegas photos and while I do have enough to stay on track for my 365 project, I'm posting them a bit out of order....oh well, Las Vegas is supposed to be a little crazy right?

So many things happened over the last week, I'll try to list the big ones:

- first flight delayed at the last second due to "leaky landing gear" waited 5 extra hours but ended up with $200 vouchers for future flights

- saw The Lion King on stage and got goosebumps from the beginning to the end.

- watched Snooki from Jersey Shore try to make it through a mob of people to LAX nightclub

- won $130 playing roulette for the first time

- went to the opening night of Celine Dion's new show and had our seats upgraded to FRONT ROW, had many lingering moments of eye contact with her as she sung.

- got to meet and have a great conversation with Rosie O'Donnell before Celine's show.

- Drank green beer with a friend from Ireland on St.Patrick's Day

- had an inner Top Chef Geek moment when I went shopping at the Whole Foods from the Vegas season.

- Met and took jumping photos with SpunkyMonQy (not to mention taking a crazy cab ride to see the Las Vegas sign)

- went for a nice long run up and down the length of the strip early enough not to get swallowed up in the crowds.

*whew!* Now I'm off to make coffee and take today's new photo!

A companion piece to go with this one.

This my entry into The Teleidoscope's Theme: Drowning
It's hard to believe that there are only 3 more themes in the Teleidoscope's 52 week project, seems like just yesterday we were starting that group up! I'm tempted to try and arrange second year for it but I'll have to wait and see if anyone else wants to.

A fitting photo for today as I foolishly decided to ride my bike to work despite the torrential downpour....I was a tad wet for the first half of the day.....
