I am about to board my first flight home from northern Greece, and I already miss all the people and locals I've got to know, the food and culture, and of course the beautiful nature and birds.
I'm so glad I took advantage of the offer to go back, already just over 2 months after my first trip.
In February-March we had lots of boat photography trips and some by car, for mostly pelicans and some other species like flamingos and cormorants.
This time we went more by car to see more- and other species in other habitats, like bee-eaters, spoonbills, hoopoes, egrets, warblers, raptors and the little bittern, and we were out in hides and camouflage. We met some pelicans as well, but this time they were busy nesting and catching their own food (and not getting fish from us like the last time).
But we had a few beautiful boat trips this time as well. This Eurasian spoonbill (Platalea leucorodia) is from our first boat trip on the first morning, four days ago.
