I met Syed Masoom Ali Baba Aqsan in 2005 and hardly knew about their Order ,, I was documenting the Rifai Silsila and the Hijra ethos in connection to Dargah and Sufism.
I was curious to know what connected the Hijras to the greatest Sufi Saint Khwajah Garib Nawaz .
I also documented the Chishtiya Silsila through the cosmic eye of Peersab Fakhru Miya Hujra no 6 Ajmer Sharif ,,and I have been connected to him in body and spirit ever since he first invited me to Ajmer also in 2005 ,,
I live at his house he has been my host and now my extended family ,, through him I saw Lord Brahma s Pushkar I also visited the Graves of the Hijra Saint and his biological son.
And today the Hijras of India led by Guru Laxmi Narayan Tripathi has created history by having their own Kinnar Akhara at Samahist Ujjain Kumbh.
Laxmi is a versatile all faith scholar ,,and it is only because of her love for me that I was able to document the esoteric Hijraeroticness her words ,, for the Mystique of the Hijras .
I am a Shia but my parents gave me the Gift of loving respecting all Religion .. I just cannot be narrowmindeed .. that is why at the Kumbh Ujjain I was a Hindu shooting the Hindu Ethos ,, At Ajmer and at Bu Ali Shah Qalandar I was a Sufi fakir ,,,
I have no issue with your faith and I cannot be you ,,, at all I am only what my parents visualized for me ,,,my vision is mine ,, it is part of my cosmic destiny as Man .
I have several Gurus a Jesuit Guru Fr Jaun... and all have touched me deeply ,, I had a Naga Guru ,late ,Shri VijayGiri Maharaj.. and Swamy Avdesh Anandji Juna Akhara ,
Than my Photo Gurus ,,,many of them...
I submit my soul my essence to the Greatest Guru of all .. The Beginning and the End ,, Hazrat Imam Ali ... The Peak Of Eloquence ,,,
I am far away from congregational religion ...I am not into dogmas or diatribe ,,, I believe in the substance of Mankind ,,, and as a photographer your faith has healed me in more ways than one ,,
I am not a picture but an entire storyboard ,,
I found God in Bandra s Garbage too.. and the Municipal Conservancy staff ,, keeping his Temple clean .
I was once a photographer a blogger a poet ..
Now I am simply a storyteller ,,,seeing your world and my own through the Third Eye of Shiva.
I have met Wiccans Pagans Snake and Devil worshipers Atheists Agnostics ,,I met Freemasons ,, in my Life ,,, and Life goes on...
