Sometimes or most of the times I feel as Indians we are heartless people devoid of emotions or compassion .
Our hearts are impervious to misery surrounding poor peoples lives around us .
As a photographer with a sense of poetry I align my camera and my vision to pain and suffering ...without any commercial gains and I can assure though once a product of a prestigious camera club in Mumbai my BW pictures found their place on the notice board but not my beggar images ..
Maybe because I started shooting beggars documenting their woes since 2007 after meeting eminent street photographer documentarist from Manhattan Dr @GlennLosack he is a Jew and I am a Shia Muslim buy we bond when he heard about my shingles skin rash he gave me a prescription and money to buy the medicines .
Two beggars he shot passionately with me in Mumbai was Maria the leper lady and Appu the limbless beggar migrant from Assam.
The pandemic has clipped his soaring wings he is stuck in New York ..he wanted to take the Chadiyan walk with me from Delhi to Ajmer it willl be possible once things get normal I will this time walk from Panipat to Ajmer with the Qalandaris .
