After 2 weeks of chasing storms around the UK, it’s time to warm up a little with some Tuscan sunshine. Perhaps one of my favorite locations, there is very little to compare with a late summer sunrise over the beautiful Val d’Orcia. Neat lines of Cypress trees sit atop valleys scattered with wheat fields; golden spikes of color softened by the early morning mist. This is my time of day- the dew saturated with the scent of herbs and the smell of woodsmoke from the vineyards hanging in the air as the sun burns through the haze.
We all have a place like this.
Have a wonderful week, Flickr friends.
