I rarely see a cardinal, male of female, at my feeders. It usually takes a snow storm to bring them in. I haven't seen a single cardinal this year even though we've certainly had our share of snow storms. So, I was delighted when a friend who is regularly visited by multiple pairs of cardinals invited me to bring my camera to her home on a recent Sunday afternoon.
