When I made this shot, I thought this little bird, all fluffed up to keep warm, was a female goldfinch. Now, I'm not so sure. Help with a definite ID would be appreciated. It doesn't feel much like the first day of spring here today, but I know it's coming!

I hadn't seen a cardinal at my feeders in a long, long time. That changed on Monday. Bitter cold, snow, and wind brought male and female cardinals flocking to the tray feeder. I've seen five and six at a time and I know it's the storm that brought them in. What a joy it's been to behold that brilliant, magical flash of red these past three, otherwise dismal, days!
